Beirut is finally back with a new album titled The Rip Tide. It is really good even though it’s very short. This is one of my favorite tracks off it. Zach Condon & co. will be back in L.A. to play the Greek on October 4th. If you can’t wait until then, you’ll have to get up to San Francisco to Outside Lands Festival in a couple of weeks. They play on Sunday, August 14th. I’ll be there.

Holdin On To Black Metal by My Morning Jacket

So I went to see these guys last night at the beautiful Pantages Theater in Hollywood. It was my first time there & it was so nice! My Morning Jacket rocked it as always! Jim James & company played for nearly 2 1/2 hours. What a great show! Their light show was probably one of the best I’ve seen & I was sober. This track was great. They brought out the Watson Twins & another girl that I couldn’t identify to sing the back up part.
