Here’s a great tune from Jack Peñate’s 2009 album Everything Is New. This was one of my favourites from last year so if you haven’t heard it, take a listen. The album is really good as well.

Alice Springs by Mystery Jets

song of the day

This London band doesn’t get enough attention over here in the States in my opinion. They just recently released a new album called Seratonin & it’s really good. Their previous album Twenty One is a favourite of mine as well. Mystery Jets will be in town to play the Troubadour on 9/17. This tune is the album opener. It starts out kind of slow & mellow so give it a chance…

We Are The People by Empire of the Sun

song of the day

This week Empire of the Sun have 4 sold out shows at The Music Box starting tonight. That’s pretty impressive. Their first US show ever was last weekend at Lollapalooza. Originally Luke Steele & Nick Littlemore created the music for their 2009 debut album Walking On A Dream. When it came time to finally tour for the album, Nick Littlemore was apprently missing & Luke Steele hadn’t heard from him in months. Steele is continuing on without him & is playing a string of US tour dates. I’m really excited about seeing the first night of the L.A shows.
